Stop These Habits If You Want to Lose That Fat
Some bad habits are behind the reason you are not losing weight. So, if you are trying to burn the stubborn fat, it is time you let go of some habits. At worst you aren’t aware of them and at best you cannot control yourself. Either way, those bad habits are keeping you from your goal. Actually, they are pushing you away from a healthy life. Did you know, fat is the source of many health problems? Losing fat with the help of strength training, HIIT, cardio, etc. nothing would help unless you stop doing the following.
Eating snacks
I know snacks are so yum but they also add more to your waistline. Thinking of just taking one bite? Don’t even think of doing it because few extra bites add up out of nowhere. This is one of the most common ones. If you are craving too much go for fruits and veggies instead and drink some water with it, you are full without adding more fat to the body.
Eating junk food
Are you a sucker for fried and junk food? Well, this will get you in trouble. Fried food adds fat to the body fast and quick and eating it when you are trying to lose weight is like happy suicide. Avoiding it is difficult but you can go for healthier alternatives.
Eating like an animal
Eating too quickly or too often means weight gain which results in fat. Eating slow, in small bites, and chewing the food properly will help the stomach process it better. Generally, you would hear something like drinking water in between or at the end but I don’t recommend that. Just, don’t fill yourself up to the top, leave some space.
Going grocery shopping while you are hungry
Walking more is good and will burn more calories. So, using your feet more is a good way to stay fit, right? that is right but going to going grocery shopping while you are hungry will tempt you to eat unhealthy things or eat more and quickly. In either condition, you will end up on the wrong side. So, it is better you munch on some fruits and veggies or goes shopping after your meals.
Skipping breakfast
Are you one of those people who think skipping breakfasts will be beneficial? Sorry, but you are just wrong. First off, breakfast is a more important meal of the day. Skipping it means you draining the body of energy. Either you will be eating unhealthy foods so the body will make more fat.
Or you will be starving so the body will be deforming muscles to get the energy it needs. In both conditions, your health and goals are ruined. Now, don’t you start eating junk food, sugar, and other unhealthy things at breakfast?
Drinking alcohol
Alcohol is a serious problem. I would say cut it off. Besides giving you empty calories, it can be causing a lot of other problems. If you cannot cut off limit your intake and avoid it on weekdays. Try other healthy alternatives like water or natural fruit juices. Water is not boring, it’s healthy it helps with weight loss as well as improves skin, hair, and nail health.
Cheating with diet
If your diet plan allows one cheat day a month it means one cheat day a month. not even again more than that. Eating out, parties or get-togethers can often make you forget that, which will result in, you guessed it, fat!
Stress eating
Feeling sad, stressed, angry, lonely, frustrated? Want to eat because the food will make you feel better? Don’t do it, it might make you feel better for now but later on, it will become that fat that is hard to burn. Eating when emotional is bad, so stop it. find other ways of coping with situations. Or just face what is out there and work on making it better. I know saying is easier than doing but remember it is your health, not mine.
Distraction eating
Do you eat while working, watching TV, while distracted? This means you eat a lot more than you need to. It is not a lot different than emotional eating.
Disturbed sleep
Yes, adequate sleep is important to keep the hunger in check. Disturbed sleep leads to an increase in appetite and other bad eating habits.
Sleep well, eat good and get control of yourself. Follow the diet plan and do exercise because diet alone is not enough. Don’t even think of crash dieting.
